Program
Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition. There will be events for all ages.
Come to the opening where there will be a guided tour and performance on August 31, play with sand and seashells in workshops or join us on a hike and learn about the importance of sand for Blåvandshuk. You can also visit the restaurant Høfde 4, which has sand on the menu!
Most events will be held in Danish. The program is visible on the Danish website.

NEXT EVENT IN ENGLISH IS THE ART TALK "A MOSAIC OF PERSPECTIVES" SEPTEMBER 22 AT 3 PM BY KIRSTINE ROEPSTORFF'S SCULPTURE ON BLÅVAND BEACH.
Blåvandshuk Lighthouse, with its giant Fresnel lens, is a luminous marker for the fishermen who have sailed along Horns Reef's dangerous sandbars over the years. What does human dependence on phones, GPS and other technology mean for the natural orientation skills of animals and insects? And how does it affect our ability to understand our surroundings? Meet visual artist Kirstine Roepstorff, who poses philosophical questions to natural science, in conversation with Tobias Wang, professor at the Department of Biology - Zoophysiology, Aarhus University.
Walk and talks
Take a walk in nature with artists and specialists. Walk and talks will be based on the artists' works and put into perspective through conversations with specialists.
Teaching and learning courses in nature for children/young people
Workshops in nature for children and young people are developed in collaboration with artists, professionals from the Vardemuseums and the municipality's and the national park's employees.
Shared dinners with performances
A program of performances/engaging projects and knowledge session will focus on sand as material and sand as habitat and food bank.
Seminar for professional environment
A seminar on the environment, present and future will take place during the exhibition period. The seminar is developed in collaboration with the Vardemuseerne/JANUS Building. Date and program will be launched in May approx.
